Aunt Tillie

After working forty+ years in the industrial world, John Bowen (Aunt Tillie) retired, kicked back, and decided to try his hand at writing. Though his original intent was to write serious prose, most of his works slanted toward the humorous side due to the comical scenarios that kept popping up in his brain. Eventually, he threw in the towel on serious work and focused on writing humorous stories.

Aunt Tillie is the pen name he uses when he wants to become a little old gray-haired lady who’s afraid of spiders. Aunt Tillie is not just a pen name, it’s a persona that has developed over time. You won’t always find true-to-form behavior from the Sinful characters in Aunt Tillie’s works, but rather the outlandish, inane, off-kilter humor that’s entrenched in Aunt Tillie’s old gray head.

Middle Tennessee is home, where old cars and puppy dogs occupy this author’s time, although Aunt Tillie is longing for a home at the beach.
